The Caterra Extra Large Food Warming Mat is built for the table that keeps filling up — holidays, buffets and anything that runs past one round of plates. At 16″ × 32″ it holds up to eight dishes at once, across two independently controlled heating zones. Two 9″ × 13″ pans fit side by side.

Temperature control

Each zone cycles through 7 temperature settings — 104°F, 122°F, 140°F, 158°F, 176°F, 194°F and 212°F. Two one-touch buttons set both zones at once: Auto Med (176°F) and Auto High (212°F). Food-safety guidance is to hold hot food at 140°F or above, so the upper settings sit comfortably in the safe range.

The mat sits on a reflective aluminium insulation pad and raised silicone standoffs, which together minimise heat transfer to the surface underneath — the thing cheaper warming mats are most often criticised for. Always lay the insulation pad down first on wood or laminate.

Use oven-safe dishes only. At 212°F the surface can soften or deform plastic containers — glass, ceramic, stoneware, metal and cast iron are all fine.
